AHA, Musicians on Call bring healing power of music to VA patients

AHA has partnered with Musicians On Call, a nonprofit that brings live and recorded music to patients, to bring hospitalized veterans in all Veterans Affairs facilities the healing power of music this Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and all month long starting Monday. The virtual Concert For Veterans Presented by Wrangler, hosted by Jamie O’Neal, will feature performances and words of gratitude from over 30 artists.

A Budding Opportunity to Advance Health Care Innovation for Veterans

In an effort to advance ideation and expand collaboration to improve health care, the Veterans Health Administration Innovation Ecosystem Innovators’ network (iNET) has launched the Greenhouse initiative. Health care innovators outside the VA now will be able to collaborate directly with iNET sites across the country to connect with a pool of engaged and equipped front-line health care professionals, millions of end users and more to design future health care solutions.

Biden nominates McDonough as VA secretary

President-elect Joe Biden nominated former White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough as Secretary of Veterans Affairs. McDonough also previously served the Obama administration as deputy national security advisor.
