The Institute for Diversity and Health Equity (IFDHE), part of the American Hospital Association (AHA), works closely with health services organizations to advance health equity for all and to expand leadership opportunities for ethnic minorities in health management. Growing up, I had no idea this amazing opportunity to make a difference in our communities even existed. I was well aware of the valiant efforts of clinicians in health care, and I knew I was not built for that awesome calling.
